So, this is my plan. Return flight to Saigon from Sydney. Fly to Hanoi when I get to Saigon. Train journey down through Vietnam after visiting Sapa and Halong bay. Then on to hoi an, Nha trang and saigon. My question is… with three weeks to spare, how much time should I spend in each place and can I take day trips to sapa and halong bay from hanoi. Thanks….. Miss perfectionist needs the perfect plan set before I leave.

I’m from the US and I’ve been to Canada, England, South Korea, and Japan; with plans to visit China, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, etc. I had plans to visit North Korea, but that idiot Kim Jung Il, apparently hates the idea that people might like his country. (I wanted to see North Korea first hand, but they recently stopped all foreign tourism.)
Best thing to do is to get a job where they pay for your trip and your accomodations.

I am going on a Dunn River Falls tour. I will walk in a river for a two miles and see many waterfalls. The tour guides suggests that I know how to swim before going on the tour.

I am staying at an all-inclusive resort called Beaches and it is by the beach. It is in Negril, Jamaica.

The climate is very hot and humid. They suggest that I bring shorts and flip-flops. It will rain while I am there but it will still be sunny.

6. Cien dolares de Jamaica es iguala en uno dolare de Estados Unidos. Yo recomiendo que tu traiga mas dinero.

100 Jamaican dollars is equal to 1 United States dollar. I recommend that you bring a lot of money.

7. Yo sugiero que tu comas en los restaurantes de habitual por el mejor comida. La comida es muy bien. Planearé comeré el pollo de jerk. El pollo de jerk esta picante pero el pan de festival no hará esta picante.

The food is very good. We are going to eat jerk chicken when we are on the tour. The jerk chicken is spicy but the festival bread helps not make it so spicy. I suggest that you eat at local restaurants for the best food.

June is summer and usually hot and wet and steamy in Asia.

But maybe there is a place which is a bit elevated where I can escape the heat eg like Dalat or Sapa in Vietnam or maybe a place that gets a nice cool summer breezes.

On a whim I booked a flight to vietnam for 10 days, arriving in Hanoi and departing back from ho chi minh city. Considering I only have days and have to do a bit of travelling by train during that time, I don’t have much time and will have to cut back on some of the places I wanted to visit. Expert Vietnam travellers needed to help me with my itinerary. Originally i was going to go to hai noi, sapa, ha long bay, hue and saigon. But I had three weeks initially.
Added another two days, so going for 12 days now.
